Wage Range: $20-$25 Hourly

As the Assembler – Wire Harness, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting wire harnesses used in various electrical systems and applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in soldering, crimping, and interpreting electrical schematics. This person will follow guidance and direction from Product Managers, Support technician and Senior Management and provide assistance and support as part of the team.

Responsibilities:
- Assemble wire harnesses according to design specifications.
- Cut, strip, and crimp wires to specified lengths and connections.
- Solder connections and splice wires as necessary.
- Secure and organize wires, cables, and connectors within harnesses.
- Provides direction, guidance, and oversees the quality of work performed by fellow assemblers, as required.
- Keeps accurate and legible time records on travelers and in the time collection system.
- Maintains workspace, tools and equipment in a safe, clean and neat condition.
- Required to identify components and assemblies by part number, type, function, size and color.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret drawings for a wide variety of Valid products
- Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Must be able to plan, organize and efficiently complete assigned tasks.
- Work requires ability to repetitively perform high quality work by paying attention to details.
- Willingness to contribute and participate as part of the team.
- Shows initiative.
- Strong organizational ability, good interpersonal and communication skills.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
- Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical experience and/or aptitude an asset.
- Exhibits maturity, professionalism, and a customer-first focus
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment an asset.
- Uses all hand tools such as drills, grinders, hammers, screw drivers, vise grips, etc., as well as power tools such as chop-saws and band-saws.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to work on ladders and/or scaffolding
- Must be able to stoop, kneel and crouch at times to perform assigned tasks
- Must be able to use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects skillfully.

Valid is searching for an Electrical Engineer who will interact with customers and the engineering team using customer input and sales information to design or re-design, develop, test and implement electrical products. - Collaborates with the engineering team as new products are being developed and existing systems improved.

- Proposes, sources/develops, tests new system subcomponents, and tests recently developed systems for performance.

Valid is searching for an Electrical Product Integrator who is responsible for preparing layout drawings for electrical kiosks and cabinets. This individual will provide specification and documentation support for the company’s electrical products and work as an integral part of the Quality Assurance Program to ensure product reliability.

- Prepares material requisitions for layouts and submits to purchasing and work order processors.
- Checks kiosks and cabinets once they have been built and populated with electrical materials.
- Prepares “as built” drawings.
- Develops and maintains spreadsheet calculator templates for various design criteria such as service ratings, circuit ratings, circuit loading, voltage drop and fault current.
- Assists with gathering data from product testing.
- Identifies and annotates existing documents for future design revisions.
- Researches technology for new product development.
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Efficiently manage large volumes of data.
- Ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education from an accredited Institute of Technology an asset.
- Possess a strong background in electrical trade.
- Previous CAD experience is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Familiar with electrical distribution equipment from various manufacturers.
- Previous experience with control, lighting, motor control, VFD and PLC systems is an asset.
- MRP system experience is an asset.
- Project Management experience is an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset.

Valid is searching for an Electrical Engineering Supervisor who will serve as the functional engineering leader supervising a team of electrical technologists and engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems. This individual oversees various engineering processes and timelines in order to ensure successful completions on the work that is required
Responsibilities:
- Leads the engineering team members and promotes professional development and high engagement through recognition and establishment of individual and team objectives.
- Reviews the work performed and the methods used by engineering staff.
- Completes employee performance reviews and develops personal growth opportunities.
- Participates in preparing budgets, and approving expenditures.
- Oversees policy, procedure and safety guideline adherence.
- Communicates and collaborates with other departments to coordinate work.
Skills & Abilities:
- Work requires a broad knowledge of electrical engineering processes.
- Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be able to function effectively in a results-oriented, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or another related field
- Registration in good standing as a professional engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, or another Canadian provincial Engineering Association, and qualified for the role of Responsible Registrant.
- 5+ years’ supervisory experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a related field
- Solid knowledge of MRP, product flow and scheduling systems
- Experience or familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code
- Experience dealing with third party testing laboratories (CSA, UL, ETL, etc.) product inspections, certifications and ongoing updates an asset
- Exhibits maturity, professionalism, and a customer-first focus
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to balance competing priorities
