The Position:

With the rapid expansion in evolving electrical technologies Valid Manufacturing has an immediate opening for a full time Technical Sales Specialist located in the lower mainland . The successful applicant will thrive in a dynamic environment that presents opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge projects as well as enable you to use your skills in customer service and support by liaising with the key accounts on both a technical and logistical basis. You will provide customer and on-site support and training as required with the backup of the resources at the plant.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Self-motivated, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects at various stages of development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced with management and the scheduling of project tasks.
  • Exemplary Customer Service skills

Requirements:

  • Journeyman Electrician or a diploma from an accredited Institute of Technology
  • Familiar with Canadian Electrical Code and local utility requirements
  • 5+ years in a customer service roll
  • Proven history of development and maintenance of key accounts
  • Able to work independently
  • Valid drivers license

The Electrical Product Support position is responsible for the standards created within the department liaising with independent certification agencies and facilitating third-party inspections.

This Position Requires:

• Experience or familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code.
• Experience dealing with third party testing laboratories (CSA, UL, ETL, etc.) product inspections, certifications and ongoing updates an asset.
• 2+ years’ experience in a related field.
• Exhibits maturity, professionalism, and a customer-first focus.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to balance competing priorities.
• A combination of prior relevant education, experience and abilities may be considered.

Responsibilities:
• Organizes the product certification files for all electrical products.
• Maintains high quality standard reports of products currently being manufactured.
• Coordinates with third party agencies to arrange inspections.
• Define, monitor, update, and review the certification labelling process.
• Oversees policy, procedure and safety guideline adherence.
• Communicates and collaborates with other departments to coordinate work.

Skills & Abilities:

• Must have exceptional organization skills.
• Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting.
• Must be able to function effectively in a results-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and electronic.
• Liaise with engineering, production and certification agencies.
• Previous experience with document creation and maintenance.
