Department: Business Development

Salary Range: $75,000-$110,000

The Position:

The Sales and Business Development role is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of our products and capabilities. This position will focus on finding and developing new sales opportunities by contacting potential customers.  As well, Sales and Business Development assists customers with any questions or concerns, and builds and maintains lasting relationships with strong commitment to excellent customer service.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Proven track record in Sales and Business Development
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects at various stages of development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced with management and the scheduling of project tasks.
  • Exemplary Customer Service skills.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years in a sales and business development roll.
  • Willing to both exhibit and attend trade shows.
  • Proven history of development and maintenance of key accounts.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Willing to travel extensively within BC, Alberta and occasionally the USA.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule.

Assembler – Wire Harness

Assembler – Wire Harness

Location: Nelson, B.C.

Position Type: Full-time

Department: Harness Assembly

Wage: $20-$25/ hour

As the Assembler – Wire Harness, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting wire harnesses used in various electrical systems and applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in soldering, crimping, and interpreting electrical schematics. This person will follow guidance and direction from Product Managers, Support technician and Senior Management and provide assistance and support as part of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Cut, strip, and crimp wires to specified lengths and connections.
  • Assemble wire harnesses according to design specifications.
  • Solder connections and splice wires as necessary.
  • Secure and organize wires, cables, and connectors within harnesses.
  • Keeps accurate and legible time records on travelers and in the time collection system.
  • Maintains workspace, tools and equipment in a safe, clean and neat condition.
  • Required to identify components and assemblies by part number, type, function, size and color.
  • Provides direction, guidance, and oversees the quality of work performed by fellow assemblers, as required.

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings for a wide variety of Valid products
  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Must be able to plan, organize and efficiently complete assigned tasks.
  • Work requires ability to repetitively perform high quality work by paying attention to details.
  • Willingness to contribute and participate as part of the team.
  • Shows initiative.
  • Strong organizational ability, good interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
  • Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical experience and/or aptitude an asset.
  • Exhibits maturity, professionalism, and a customer-first focus
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment an asset.
  • Uses all hand tools such as drills, grinders, hammers, screw drivers, vise grips, etc., as well as power tools such as chop-saws and band-saws.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
  • Must be able to work on ladders and/or scaffolding
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel and crouch at times to perform assigned tasks
  • Must be able to use hands and arms to reach for, grasp, and manipulate objects skillfully.
